Concluding Statement of the Gorran Supporters’ Gathering
20 September 2025 – Talary Hunar, Sulaymaniyah

Today, Saturday, 20 September 2025, a group of 1,420 Gorran supporters and advocates from across Kurdistan—including Kerkuk, the surrounding areas, and representatives of the Kurdish Diaspora—came together with a shared commitment to overcome past disputes and move forward united.

The purpose of this gathering was to make a wholehearted effort to strengthen Gorran’s organizational structure and to reorganize its members and supporters. This initiative is not only a comprehensive project fueled by determination and confidence, but it also lays the groundwork for Gorran’s upcoming general conference and its renewed role in shaping political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The impact of Gorran’s temporary retreat from the political process has been significant, and it is now clear that the only real alternative to Gorran is Gorran itself. It is not too late to bring about meaningful change, regain the trust and confidence of our people, and reestablish Gorran as a driving force for reform. We are prepared to face these challenges with calmness, resilience, and dedication.

During this public meeting, several key decisions and proposals were presented and adopted, which Gorran intends to put into action:
 1. Preparation for the General Conference – Undertake all necessary steps to hold a general conference under the supervision and guidance of the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq.

 2. Formation of a Reorganization Committee – Establish a committee, under the directive of Mr. Dana Ahmed Majid, tasked with collecting and reviewing the observations, recommendations, and viewpoints of Gorran members and advocates. The committee will engage members across all sectors to rebuild the organizational framework and implement necessary reforms.

 3. Redrafting of the Political Roadmap – Develop a renewed political roadmap and discourse based on the legitimate demands of the citizens of Kurdistan. This roadmap will guide Gorran’s decision-making and political actions in response to key developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
