Begard Talabani, Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, signed a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese company to build four new dams in Kurdistan.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, the minister, who represents the Kurdistan Regional Government, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company.

All dams have an important strategic nature and will be a good practical step towards the future of water in Kurdistan.

The dams are Dalga, Mandawa, Bakirman and Khewata, which are located in the regions of Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Dohuk and pshdadr.
