The shop owners of Langa Bazaar stage protests in Erbil asking Kurdistan Regional government to compensate them for their loses, day after the huge fire broke out in the bazaar led to damage over 1200 shops.
The shop owners block the 100-meter circle road in Erbil for hours calling on KRG PM to apply his promises to compensate them as soon as possible.
The Langa Bazaar, a second-hand bazaar, in Erbil caught fire on Thursday early morning extended for about eight hours before firefighters teams controlled the fire.
The Initial reports indicate that more than 1200 shops have been burned completely as the officials say the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.
The shop owners ask the government to take measures to compensate them as the government officials including PM said they will taking the issue seriously.
