Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani said he had not seen any initial indications of ministers' performance in the combat against corruption.

The prime minister said within the start of the cabinet session, the minister's relationship with political forces ends after his nomination and winning the confidence of parliament and the minister who feels pressure or threatened, I am there to support him.

He added that we have not seen any initial indications of the performance of ministers in the fight against corruption and ministers must abide by this file.

He added that the minister, officials and general directors must be present in the field to solve all problems, and intractable problems need wise and thoughtful decisions.

In his speech to the ministers, Al-Sudani stressed that the priorities of the government program, which include unemployment, poverty, services, combating corruption and economic reform, should not be overlooked in the preparation of daily programs in the ministries.

He also stressed the need to implement the government's directives for the retirees, pointing out that the reform package for retirees is a message to those who have spent their lives serving the country, and everyone must implement the package strictly.
