The Turkish army sent heavy weapons to the district of Amedi

The Turkish army sent a large number of heavy weapons to the border of Amedi district last night.


  

 KNN reporter said that a large force of the Turkish army passed through Derelok district of Amedy last night, carrying a number of heavy weapons and stationed in the mountains of Korazar in Derelok district.

  

 He added that the sending of the heavy weapons is part of the ongoing operation that Turkey is conducting in the region and has established several bases and checkpoints in the areas.


 Since June this year, Turkey has launched a military operation against the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on the pretext of the presence of PKK guerrillas.


 According to the CPT, the Turkish army has established 16 military bases on the border since the beginning of the operation, seven of which are in the foothills and settlements and the other nine are on the tops of the mountains.
