A delegation from the French Consulate General in the Kurdistan discussed the political situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and the holding of the sixth parliamentary elections with the Gorran Movement in Sulaimani.

 French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region Jan Brem and his delegation visited the Gorran Movement in Sulaimani and met with Omar Sayed Ali and members of the National Council of the Gorran Movement on political issues and the latest political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. 



 The issue of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections was the main topic of the discussions and both sides emphasized the efforts for a clean and fair process that will gain more confidence of citizens and changes in favor of the process and legitimacy of governance and satisfaction of citizens.



 In the meeting, the French Consul General reiterated the continued support of the French government and people for the Kurdistan Region and overcoming political difficulties, and said: "We support a stable and democratic region within the framework of the Federal Republic of Iraq."
