For the first time in the ninth cabinet, a meeting of the Regional Council for Oil and Gas Affairs was held.

According to the statement, the meeting discussed oil revenues and expenditures for the first six months of 2022.


In another part of the meeting, public revenues from oil exports and sales, including the total amount of oil produced, exported and used locally, and the average price of one barrel of oil sold during this period.


The KRG oil revenues to provide the salaries of the first six months of this year. While the federal government had to send a trillion and two hundred billion dinars for six months in 2022, they sent only two months of money, which is only 400 billion dinars. But the government has provided salaries every month from the region's oil and internal revenues and has distributed salaries every month.



Then other government expenditures were discussed, in addition to the salaries provided by oil revenues in the first six months of 2022, and it is decided that next week Deloitte's detailed report on these statistics, information, and numbers will be presented to the public. The meeting emphasized on improving transparency in this field and the region has presented all the information and numbers to the federal government, even the public opinion of the region, Iraq and abroad, and will continue, and the latest report of the joint financial monitoring team: the region and Baghdad are also evidence of this fact, particularly the region's revenue, expenditure, debt and ministerial property.



The second part of the meeting was to present the latest developments in relations between the KRG and the federal government on the oil and gas dispute and the KRG's legal preparations based on the constitution to face pressure from the federal government and the federal oil ministry. The meeting emphasized on solving of the problems on the basis of the constitution and stressed that the region's negotiating team is ready to visit Baghdad to discuss the issues.
