Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said the problems between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq are internal issues and they have tried to bring the two sides closer together.
In their discussions with Prime Minister Mustafa Kadhimi, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zada discussed the latest changes in northern Iraq and Syria and hoped for unity between the different components.
He also pointed out that they are closely monitoring Iraq's local issues, but solving the problems in the region and Baghdad is related to themselves.
