Australian Ambassador to Iraq visits the Change Movement

On Monday, Jan,22, Mr Omer Said Ali, the General Coordinator of the Change Movement( Gorran) received Christopher Langman, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq and in a meeting also attended by Dr.Yousif Mohammad and Hoshyar Omer, members of the diplomatic relations room, the two sides exchanged views over the latest developments in the Kurdistan region and Iraq.

Regarding the upcoming elections, Mr Omer Said Ali, the General Coordinator said that the Change Movement was ready for the elections and as for the situation in the Kurdistan region he stressed the need for bringing about changes in the political and ruling system. He also reiterated the need for the dossiers of oil, financial and economic to be transparent.

As for the 16th October events, Gorran delegates stressed the necessity for the return of all displaced people and that the damaged people should be compensated.

For his part, Dr.Yousif Mohammad stressed the need to stop armed forces which belong to political parties in Kurdistan region and Iraq and empowering the institutions for fighting corruption.
